Staring in the 2020 model year your Toyota will be more connected than ever. During the month of August Toyota will introduce a host of technologies called Connected Services that aim to improve the multimedia experience for Canadian drivers driving a Toyota product.
At the heart of Connected Services is the Toyota app accessible through Google Play. This mobile app allows you to connect to your vehicle and enjoy a host of features including locking and unlocking the doors, start the engine remotely, check the windows and the sunroof, get recall notifications, check the fuel level and the health of the vehicle, and much more.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also part of Toyota Connected Services technologies in addition to compatibility with Amazon Alexa. It will also be possible to contact an emergency service with an SOS button.
Connected Services will be available on the Sequoia, Tundra, 4Runner and Tacoma 2020 models, scheduled to arrive in August. Other models will be added over the months.
