Great performances and efficiency in the 2020 Toyota Highlander
Under the hood, the 2020 Highlander offers two powertrain choices: a gas V6 or a new version of the Toyota Hybrid System.
First, the 3.5-litre V6 develops an impressive 295 horsepower rating with 263 lb.-ft. of torque. It is mated to a Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission. You can opt for the towing package on V6 equipped models. This add-on enables a 5,000-pound towing capacity, while adding a heavy-duty radiator with engine oil cooler. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) uses the Vehicle Stability Control to help control unwanted trailer movement.
If you choose a hybrid model, you’ll get the new-generation Toyota Hybrid System which combines a high-efficiency 2.5-litre DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. This system boasts 240 hp and offers an impressively light fuel consumption of 6.9 L/100 km combined
